stress
I must say it has been a stressfull holiday. Jimmy and I have been on the "outs". After we arrived back from canada he mentioned that the house was messy. He also mentioned that I would have given him the riot act. He wasn't giving me the riot act--- he was just saying. Oh, did I mention that he was saying this at like 12:30 at night after he had just got through playing on his computer for about 2 hours. So I ended up not going up to Bonner's for the 4th and I ended up cleaning the kitchen, and living room. Ya know we have so much to be thankful for, too much. I have been getting rid of oh so many things. It feels great. We are still not organized yet. my goal is to have a place for everything and every thing in its place. It will be a long time coming i'm sure. But it does feel good to have at least 2 rooms clean, (except the fruit). Jimmy and the kids got home today while I was at work. I guess they ended up cleaning their rooms and the tv room. Yay 5 rooms cleaned, make that 6 I cleaned the downstairs bathroom too. The computer room was cleaned at one point so it should be fairly easy to clean up. Exept I have kids who go play on my computer and scatter all my papers all over the place. But I have succeeded in compiling a chore chart for the kids. I am in the process of compiling one for Jimmy and I. I can't wait to see what the results will be for progress on that.
Today I was..... Let's start with last night. Last night I had... no lets start with Tuesday. Tuesday Jimmy is suppose to have Scouts. I say suppose to" because he hasn't been going. Well needless to say I gave him the eye and ..... He still didn't go. So I rustled everyone up and we read scriptures. side note- we are on Alma 59 ish. That is way good for us because we are on again, off again. } back to the story. So no scouts, no help with dishes, no help with cleaning or laundry or anything. So Wednesday, I have Activity Days, so I am gone, with the girls, from 6:45- 8:30 ish. Come home. Again, nothing done. I told the girls to get read for bed. they do what they do every night, and took their own sweet time. by this time, I am laying down on the couch in the LR. Sophia laid down with dad and started watching Robocop with dad. Then @ 9:45 he Finally tells her it is time for bed. then she starts freeking out because her concert is Thursday and she needs something to wear. I told her to go to bed and then went shopping. Home at 11, up at 7. Drove Hunter & Jayden out to freeman, came home woke up Sophia, she was so happy with the clothes. I grabbed a couple extra for girls that might have forgotten. I went into the school when I dropped off Sophia and talked to one of the receptionists. It is Thursday, it is late start, I have always dropped her off early so I could get to work on time. But today, the secretary told me that there wasn't going to be anyone to watch Sophia until 9:30, she would have to sit and wait. She was being shy and started walking toward the door with me and was asking me what was going on. Then the main secretary told her that there was someone in the lunch room to watch the kids already, she was there @ 8:30. You know, I know we don't know Everything, but sometimes, people are really hard to take. On the way to work I kept thinking about that situation and how I thought of that not-so-smart-lady, is probably how my boss thinks about me. Ha!. Then I started going through my mom's mail and noticed the bill for Macy's $2.00 that I said I would pay for her, yeah. It was due yesterday.. I swear whatever comes out of my mouth goes into a black hole and I remember no more. AHHHHHH. So now the late fee.
Agent
Hunter is going into AAU Summer League. Well, he has 3 coaches that want him to play for them. One of the coaches is very persistent and his assistant is also persistent. While I was talking to him @ 10pm last night. I just kept thinking I don't know enough about this stuff to know what he is talking about. Hunter needs an Agent. The Coach has a good track record and most of his players go on to play college ball. I'm all for that. The players are a year younger and he doesn't feel like they challenge him. I haven't seen the other teams yet. Something to look forward to.

Hell
Tonight I was driving home with my girl's and they asked me if the wicked queen live in hell. I replied that I didn'really know. "What is hell?" I replied what I had read in the scriptures that is a place where there will be whaling and gnawing/gnashing of teeth. Then a funny thought occurred to me. When I was in the ER in Seattle hospital with Perri, waiting for her room. In 3 of the beds around her, they were wailing, and crying out in pain. So, you could say I was in hell.
Snoring
It still is hard to get any sleep when yor husbands head at the other end of the bed and his snoring isnt any quieter.

Fire
Friday I had a brush w/Death. I had went shopping and bought a lot of meat for grilling. It was my mom's b-day and Jimmy was working. I went and picked up the kids, asked for their help on the way home. I put Hunter in charge of unloading the car and listed off the things I needed to to. The first thing is light the grill, it has to warm up. Then I went looking for an extention chord to charge the lawn mower. I couldn't find one, i called Jimmy and he had it in the back of his car. So I decided to unload the mower from the trailer. 1st I had to untie it and unload the push mower, then I had to find the key and start the riding mower and back it off and pull it around to the plug in. Did it! Then I went back up to clean the grill. It was out. I turned it off went inside and grabbed the lighter. I turned the grill back on and was lighting the ligher around the grill, thinking that there would be gas. Well there was, just not where I was lighting. I bent down and opened the little hole, stuck the lighter in and FWHOOOOSHSHSHSHSH. PCKCPCKCPKC. I looked up and saw the flame over my right shoulder, It looked like it went over the edge of the deck. Then It was gone. Sissy was standing right next to the grill. Immediately I felt my lips start burning. I knew I was in trouble. I stood up and looked at Sissy, all she said was "Mom, that really freaked me out." All I could say was "Yeah, me too." I immediately started looking for the sunburn relief, aloe vera gel stuff. I couldn't find it anywhere. Then I really started freaking out and crying. Jayden, 5 yrs old, said "Mom, I thought you were suppose to be tough. Adults don't cry." which made me cry harder. I looked in the mirror and I looked like an old, black lady. My hair looked white and it was shriveled, My eyebrows looked black and were plastered to my skin. (they are almost gone now) I called my husband freaking out that I needed the gel and he didn't know where it was, and it exploded. He thought the lawn mower exploided, so he is TOTALLY freaking out, he hangs up on me and calls 911. Hunter brought me some spray lidocane, from the neighbors, I layed down on the bed and started spraying. Then I could hear the sirens. I didn't know they were for me until Hunter said that the Firetruck was outside of our house. They came in and assessed the situation and gave me some gel that was suppose to help with the burning. Our other neighbor arrived home and was looking after the kids. Later she told me it only took her 5 minutes to get home from the mall.
The ambulance driver came in and asked if I had put on any water on it. Which I hadn't, so he got this huge washcloth and put some water on it. Then he told me I needed to go to the hospital because I didn't have any nose hair and he thought that if the gas had gotten in my throat, it would swell up and I might have respitory problems. So, off I go to the hospital. I didn't feel like an ambulance ride, (I didn't think we could afford it,) So I had my hubby take me. When we arrived there I thought it was going to take forever, so I leaned over and told Jimmy that maybe I should I have taken the ride, they would have gotten me in sooner. But shortly after I said they they took me back to a room.

Mexico
So it has been a week since we arrived in Seattle. I thought I should write a little bit about our experience in Mexico before I forget it all.
We left Spokane January 16th around 3. Arrived at the Hotel about the same time as Perri. We waited 1/2 hour to check in. We got settled in and slept. our wake up call was 4 am ish. There was frost on the Windows of our cars, but we didn't have to drive very far to store our vehicles for a week. We only ended up paying $5 a day. (Good deal!) We made it to our flight no problems. Flew into LA and waited a long time. Perri, Jimmy and the kids walked around and got breakfast. Played on their "electrical devices." were bored out of their minds. We finally were able to board the plane for Mexico. Everyone was getting really excited. The plane ride was pretty uneventful, thank goodness. Arriving in Mexico we had to go through customs which took a while. We Finally made it to Mexico.
A little preface- I had talked to Maury (my boss) and he said that we could ride a taxi for $40, so I started looking for a cheaper taxi. Come to find out they had unionized at the airport and it cost $70 for the taxi ride to our Hotel.
After arriving at the hotel, come to find out, I made the reservation for the next day. so we spent over an hour waiting for them to find us 2 rooms. I think they were looking together. Whatever! The kids were going bananas. We got ocean views the first night. It was fun. Perri was on the ground floor we were up on the 2nd floor. We didn't care we were so tired from being up @ 4 that we just wanted food and bed. It was so time consuming and we didn't bring $1 bills to tip and we had no change, and, and, and.....It made it for a stressful situation. We could have all the "drinks" we wanted, unfortunately we don't drink. But the Virgin drinks were really good and the kids LOVED them. By the second day they were at the bar ordering their own drinks. They had a certain color band on their arms so the bartenders knew not to serve them alcohol. It worked pretty good, we would have them order our drinks so we knew they wouldn't be spiked. Because Jimmy ordered one and he said it tasted weird, so I had to taste it and, yeah, it was the good kind. Funny that he couldn't tell.
We spent the days by the pool or down in the sand by the Sea of Cortez. "The boys" Jimmy, Hunter and Kirby loved playing in the waves. Jimmy hurt his knee one day a big wave took him down and his right foot caught around his knee and he twisted it a little. The kids loved the ocean and the sand. I loved it when we took the kids to the "Day care center" they were able to swim, do crafts, ride down a water slide, watch tv, color. They made some fun crafts, bracelets, angry birds, baskets. Jimmy Perri and I went into town on Sunday. We should have taken a Taxi, I was exhausted by the time we were done. It was spendy, until the last shop we stopped and and I bought a mexican backpack and colorful school bag for $25. The first store tried to sell me one for that price. Eating buffet all week, it all seemed like the same kind of food by the time the week was over. The snack bar had hot dogs and hamburgers and then mixed up the other food. Fish, chicken, chips, salsa.
It was a mom's dream not to have to cook and clean up after for a week.
They had entertainment every night, I was so exhausted by then I just wanted to relax. We were able to go to one of the "members" shows and it was fun they had Indian dancers w/fire sticks.. hard to explain.
Monday Perri wanted to go and swim with the boys in the ocean.
To be continued....
