The Letter

We got a letter in the mail today for Jimmy Smith from Lin O'dell Attorney.
Needless to say it scared the crap out of me. The thoughts that go through my head are not the best in the world. My first thought is that we are going back to court. Jimmy and I opened in together and It was a notice advising us his ex is moving. We breathed a big sigh of releif. It also opened the door for us to object to the parenting plan for Kirby. How sad is that, everytime you move, sneeze or breath you have to go through your attorney.

Breakfast in Bed

It has been way too long since my last post. I think about it almost every day. Something one of the kids say. They make me laugh daily. They are such sweet, innocent people. last night we were talking about what we were going to do today. We told the kids that it was out anniversary and they were going to have a babysitter. Hunter was really excited and started planning a "breakfast in bed" for Jimmy and myself. He 1st asked me what cereal I liked then he asked Jimmy which one he would like. I didn't think he would really do but sure enough. (We have a monitor in our room so we can hear the girls upstair.) We hear him wake and go upstair and wake both the girls up. This took quite some doing because Jayden looovves her sleep. But he finally roused them and brought us our Cereal in bed. I love it!

I hate shopping!

Jayden and I went shopping last night...I am not a big shopper and I don't like shopping.
Jayden needs some clothes so I thought Jayden and I could have a girls day out. I don't even know where to start. Jayden is a very hard person to shop for. Boys have clothes labeled "husky" for those of them that have a little extra around the waste. Well, girls are suppose to be tall and skinny, and if they arent' t, they are tough out of luck. We spent over 4 hours trying on clothes and we found 2 shirts, 2 pants and one sweater (she just had to have). After 4 stores and endless dressing and undressing I was very frustrated. She tried on lots of dresses, but as most of you know, dresses cost twice as much, so we didn't buy the dresses. The only sweats I found for her that fit her her were $40 and about 9 inches too long. I don't like shopping ever more now. Help!

Who's Smarter?

Last night out dinner conversation consisted of: They (4-8yr old boys Jayden and Sophia) started out by talking about their cups. Kirby was yellow, so he was the sun. Hunter was green so he was the plants. Christian was blue so he was the water and Cole was orange so he was a pumpkin. The sun was destroying the plants and the water destroyed the sun.... you get the picture, a lot of destoying going on. Then they started talking about the "middle finger" and how they all, at one point, accidentially used their "middle finger". Then my dear sweet Jayden started in w/them pointing hers and saying middle finger. That stopped that topic. The next topic was about how they answered 6th grader questions that were "so easy". Christian then decided that to tell how he knew the answer to a question that his mom didn't know. That continued until they all decided that they were all smarter than their parents. So to all you parents out there watch out. Your kids are smarter than you.

Hunter and I were reading some of the older posts. I read him the one about the grass growing flat in Arizona. He still firmly believes that the grass really does grow flat in Arizona. He also said that there are too many animals in Arizona too. They step and slither on them. Meaning that the animals slither on the grass so it makes it grow flat.

Favorite Sayings of the Week

Jayden is a pretty funny girl. She said some things this week that made me, not laugh, but smile pretty big.
#1) "The Dr. put a needle right in my arm then he sucked out all my blood." (She had her blood tested a couple of weeks ago. Everything tested normal)
#2)"The poop that was in there is crushed up like mushroom soup." (Telling me about her bm.)
#3) "I'm not feeling good either, I'm just boring." (I had asked Hunter if he still wasn't feeling well. She tells me how bored she is.)

Me too.

Sophia is going thru a "me too" stage. Everytime someone says something she always says "Me too." I think it is soo cute. I say I am going to the store "Me too." You could say you were going to eat poop and she say's "Me too." This past week has been tough for me. It started Monday w/Kirby staying home (at our house) w/a fever. Repeat Tuesday. Then Wed. his Mom kept him. Thursday Hunter was sick and stayed home. Repeat Friday. Thursday Jimmy started feeling it. Friday he was completely out of it. Repeat Saturday. Today he is feeling better and the girls are feeling/acting sick. I am exhausted to say the least.

I love this picture.

Family Pictures

Waiting for the sun (in Seattle) to go down.

Mermaid Jayden

Oh to be four again. Today Jayden took some of her Barbie's downstairs, a few minutes later she immerged. She was wearing her mermaid outfit. She first asked daddy to help her do up the back then she proudly announced "I can't believe how beautiful I am." Then she looked down at her feet and said "I can't change back because I don't have any feet anymore."

Wicked Weekend

We had a fabulous weekend in Seattle. Friday night there we 18 of us that went and saw Wicked. It was pretty alright, if I do say so myself and I do say so myself. On the way home after the cheesecake factory, Ted was pretty hyper-funny. Paris said, "Dad you should be a comedian, only you have to eat sugar first."

Sissy

It was Sophia's b-day on the 6th. She is so gorgeous. I am a proud mama. When you ask her how old she is she says three, and when you correct her and say two she says three again.

Jayden

Jayden decided that she was going to learn how to use the camera. So, she started taking pictures. This one is of herself. Great shot, i thought.
Today Jayden came over to me and handed me a Polly Pocket and said, here, this is your girl, what's her name? I said Aquata, and I asked what her dolls name was she said Alzanna. She said she was getting married to a prince, his name is Daddy Randy. She is going to live in China, where is China? "In the toilet." She asked if I was going to get married and I said I had to find a prince to marry. She said " you can marry a girl." I informed her that I was a girl. Then she went and found me a prince who is a Star Wars trooper action figure.

Clean It Up

This is how everyday is for me. That is why my posts are so far and in between. k
Today is Saturday and Jimmy has a friend w/a Harley that likes to ride on Sat. His friend, Jack, doesn't have young kids and his wife passed away. So Jack likes Jimmy to ride w/him from around 9 am till around 4 pm on Saturday's. I don't know how all you feel about that but it gets a little old after the first time! So, here I am on Saturday w/4 kids, (1 sleeping) and I decide it would be a great time for Jayden to have a bath. She goes pee pee before she gets in the tub. Then I leave her a few minutes and when I come back in there is that certain aroma. Then I notice water all over the floor. She looks up and said, something to the effect of, I forgot to wipe. I look down and say back that she not only forgot to wipe but she missed. She then says, "sorry mama." Then to top it all off she says "It's OK. You can clean it up."

Something to "chew" on

Hunter and Jayden were outside playing in our front yard and GG was watching from the window. I went downstairs to get Sophia up from her nap. When I got upstairs I looked out the window and Jayden was sitting on the front sidewalk and there was a bit yellow spot on her brand new shorts!!! I knocked on the window and motioned for her to come in. A few minutes later she opens the door “What?” I repeated “Please come here.” “Why? Why? Why?...” Right before she emerges around the corner holding the leg of her pants so the spots are hidden, she asks “Am I in trouble?” I started “Gum belongs…” she finished (a little bit too happy) “in your mouth!” I asked her why she took the gum out of her mouth and her reply was a simple “Cause it’s play gum.” So I guess you can take play gum out of your mouth but not regular chewing gum. She said she was trying to get the dirt off of it. Oh the joys of motherhood.

Jayden's Prayers

Jayden had been going through a faze (hopefully) about a dead boy. His name is Jacob. "Jacob is dead." That is how this started. Then is progressed to when she say's the blessing on the food, Jacob is always included. And when someone else is praying she inturrupts them to pray for Jacob. "Jacob is dead" is how it started. I have tried to ask her more questions to find out if this really happened or what. She had a new girl in her Primary class so I tried to figure out maybe if she had a brother named Jacob that died. Maybe she just heard someone talking about it. Hopefully I will get to the bottom of this sooner than later.

Shushing

At church today, during Sacrament, (quiet time) my 3yr old daughter was talking quite loudly. I had tried to shush her, several times. She started soft then got progressively louder. So I leaned over and told her that we needed to think about Jesus during Sacrament. She asks (loudly) "Where's Jesus? I don't see Jesus?" Again shushing, then I wispered to her that we are suppose to THINK about Jesus, we can't see him but you can feel him. Then she responded "I think he is in my throat." She felt him in her throat. haha.

Choir or Quarum?

I was reviewing my lesson for primary during Sacrament meeting @ church. I was suppose to share, w/the kids, counsil from the Prophet. I was thumbing through the Ensign (conference issue) and there were 2 full pages that had pictures and names of men on it. My 1st grade son asked who they were. I pointed to the words as he read "The quar dfkdskljdjv (mumble) of the 70." I pointed to the 2nd set of words, he read again "The 2nd quar m of the 70." Then it clicked and he said "Oh, they are the choir members."
He was talking about the choir members that had sung during the conference. But alas they were the Presidency and the 2 Quarum's of the Seventy.

How the grass grow's in Arizona, by Hunter Campbell

Last Friday Hunter broght home some art supplies to do an art project for school. He has been dying to start them all weekend. So Sunday morning, I heard him run upstairs, I followed him. I got out the water paints and all the supplies. His theme is Pokemon (of course) and we had completed some clay figures. He wanted to pain the background on some cardboard so I had him do a test run . He started painting and said he wanted grass. He took the green paint and did one big line across the bottom. I casually asked if that is what grass looks like. His reply was "yes." I explained that grass doesn't really look like that and I showed him on my painting what grass looks like. While I was starting to paint the grass Hunter said, "Grass grows flat in Arizona."

The Miracle!

Hunter’s version of the story.
“I was half way asleep and I was trying to get my underpants out and the TV fell on me and I could practically not breathe…”
Here is Jimmy’s side of the story.
I woke Hunter up and told him to take a shower and get ready for school. (This is an every morning ritual) I came upstairs and got a drink of water. When I went back downstairs he was in the room talking to mom. I pulled him onto the stairs and told him that he is not suppose to wake me up. I went and sat down on the computer and a Hunter went into his room to get dressed. Then I heard a big CRASH!!! I jumped up on a dead run for his room and heard “dad” So I speeded up; When I first went in the room I saw the dresser and the TV on the ground. I yanked up the dresser and I looked down and all I could see was his body then noticed the TV was on his head. And right behind me was Shauna and before I could get down there she was lifting the TV off his head. Before we pulled all of it off, I couldn’t even see him, after Shauna had lifted the TV off, I saw the scared look on his face and the tears started coming. I picked him up and hugged him until he stopped crying.
Here is what really happened…..
Hunter was getting ready for school and had just gotten in trouble for waking me up to ask me a question. He was trying to open his top drawer to get his undies out. The previous night he had stuffed the drawer below it, so full, he couldn’t close it all the way. Me, I was drifting peacefully back to sleep when all of a sudden……CRASH, BANG, THUD! On my way up and out of bed next I heard screaming. “Dad, Help, Help!” By this time both Jimmy and I had reached the bedroom, Jimmy first. All I saw was Hunters head squished between the TV and the floor. So I started working on getting that off, out of the corner of my eye I saw jimmy moving faster than I have ever seen him move. He was lifting the dresser and quickly shoved it against the wall. Then he proceeded to remove all the drawers off of Hunter. I was carefully lifting the 75lb+ TV off his head. Then Jimmy picked him up and hugged him for a long time. Jimmy had said he didn’t even see the TV until I started lifting it off his head. I don’t know if you can see in the picture but the side of his face looks like he got a pretty good scrape. I don’t know if it was from the carpet or the TV. After he stopped crying we explained that when he puts his clothes away that he shouldn’t overstuff his drawers. That drawers are suppose to close after you put the clothes in them.

The moral of the story

Jimmy was so scared his body and head hurt for the rest of the day because it scared him so bad. It still brings tears to his eyes thinking about it. He also said it was an eye opener because if anything would have happened too Hunter the he would not have forgiven himself for reprimanding him for waking mom up.
Life is too short. Don't wait for an accident to appreciate it.

A Fitting Story

There were 3 girls who had a very funny story to tell their friends/families last night. Our family took a trip to target because they had saved up some money and wanted to buy something. I learned last night this was not the most beneficial thing for Hunter. He changes his mind every 2 seconds. He settles for something that he can afford rather than saving for what he wants. Anyway, Jayden and I were walking through the girls section (she wanted to look @ dresses.) We ended at the bra section for young miss. There were 3 sales associates in the area stocking shelves and Jayden walked up to the brightly colored bra's and said, in a not so quiet voice, "Mom, these would fit your boobs." One of the sales associates quickly and quietly walked away. The one stocking the bras turned her beat red face away from Jayden's view and finished what she was doing, then quickly walked away. As we were walking by the 3rd associate, I overheard them talking/giggling w/the 2nd associate about the little girl and what she had said about her mom's boob's fitting into the bra's.

Crazy Weather

It has been waaayy to long since I have posted anything. I feel like I could write a lenghthy post EVERY day. The weather has been so crazy, rainy, sunny, snowy, rainy, upndown. Can't keep up with it. Sophia is starting to say little words. Please and thank you. I am not getting anything on video. It was so much easier with just one. Hunter has EVERYTHING on video and camera. Jayden a little less and Sophie, I got nothing left. Just one more thing I add to my list of things I want to do. It was actually very nice last week and we bought kites from WalMart for $1 and they work. So all the kids (dad included) went out and flew the kites. It has been very windy lately too, another thing to add to the crazy weather.

Uninspired

Today was another one of my crazy day's. My sister-in-law, Jenessa, writes that she is feeling uninspired. Hello! Welcome to my world. I started out by getting the girls clothes ready and then heading off to a client that is Developmentally disabled. (Just spelling that out gives me a headache.) AND Paranoid Schizophrenic. (my headache just got bigger) I was having the drip fixed in the tub so I met the plumber there @ 8am. He spent 2 hours fixing it, and I waited. Then I tried to get the client to shower. 2 hours later she was finally in the shower. In this time I had the privalidge of seeing her 2" toe nail, that was all black. I know too much detail. While she was getting undressed I stated picking up the bags on the floor and going through them. Oh, my heck this girl is a pack rat. After she got out she went around trying to find everything I moved. I actually have to clean up her apt. so there is a method to my madness. I then took her to lunch and the Dr. While at the Dr's they tried to call Adult Protective Services. We can't maker her do anything....This job is going to make me crazy, literally. To make a long story longer I ended up spending the WHOLE day with this lady. While I was with her I had to deal w/Jimmy and the client he was with and another client that has to kick her sister out of her garage. We have over 30 clients. This is only 3. My life has crazy days that suck the creativity right out of me.

Party, party, and one more party

Today started out pretty uneventful. It just kept getting busier and busier. We (Jimmy, Jayden, Sophia, and I) went to Hunter's class v-day party. It was very fun but chaotic. The teacher is a gem and just let them do there own thing. She had stations set up for decorating cookies, and putting on tattoo's. Then she had a snack table. There are only 18 kids in the class. Well, 11 moms showed up. Isn't that a bit crazy? Don't get me wrong it was fun and all but a little congested. It ended about nap time. We went straight to Kirby's v-day party. I didn't get to go in but Jimmy and Jayden went in and had fun. They also were able to decorate cookies a daddy and Jayden folded a piece of paper to look like a heart. Different activities but both fun. I had to drop off Jimmy, Kirby, Jayden and Sophia and go work. The lady that had offered to take Hunter home called and said that he wasn't at the school. I called the "bus barn" and found out that he was not on "bus 18" his regular bus. Things that make you go hmmmm. We found out that he was on bus 22. Which is the bus that the lady's kids ride to their dad's house. I didn't think that Leslie, the lady, would have picked up half her kids. So, we made arrangements to pick up Hunter in Micah. We found out that Liam, Leslie's son, in all actuality, had ridden the bus to Micah and his mom picked him up there. Are you all completely confused because we were. Jimmy was not happy to say the least and never wants to carpool w/her again. We both live in the Valley and have been taking turns picking up the kids. But now I'm concerned she has gone a little loopy, if you know what I mean? Ok, so back to the party, party, party. I get home from working, and started making dinner. Then Perri, my sister called and said she had a v-day party that she was going to. All of sudden I remembered that WE had a party too. We ate dinner and Jimmy had to have Kirby home by 7:10 and Sissy hadn't taken a very long nap, not to mention her lack of sleep last night, and we ended up not going to the last party of the day. It was a church thing and they said kids could go but Jimmy and I usually end up w/the kids "babysitting" and that is not so much fun for me.

Cereal Sale

Yeah, today was the cereal sale. So I sent my hubby to get some cereal. In the cart he found a coupon for an additional $2 off 5 boxes. Score. He bought and bought and bought. After he bought he received an additional coupon. whoo hoo! He brought home the first batch, unloaded then went back for more. He ran some errands, picked up Hunter, visited his "old" work then came home. While i was in the kitchen making dinner, Sophia, my 15 month old, got out open boxes of cereal. She took them to the tv room where her sister, Jayden, 3yrs old, and proceeded to eat. I don't know if she had help or not from her sister but ...we now have a cereal in our tv room.
Hunter, our 7 year old, asked "why did you make that cereal world in the tv room?"
Cause we thought it would be so much fun to clean up????!!!

It is time.

Tonight I went and played volleyball. This is the second time that I have been able to play. It feels so good. I miss the summer days of playing baseball and soccer and jumping on the tramp. I miss getting excersise. It is time to start. That should be on my list of things to do this year. Start working out.

Looking up.

Ok. So things aren't as bad as I painted them. It was so nice to have Jimmy home this week. I put him to work. I sent him up to Colville, then the next day I sent him to Newport. I was able to get stuff done around the house. I am feeling better and better. It still doesn't look like it from the outside but I am getting the deep cleaning done that you don't see.

Venting

Ok, so I am frustrated, to say the least. I have so much to keep myself busy and now I get to keep someone else busy. I don't know if all men are like that but nothing gets done by my hubby unless I ask him to do it. I don't feel that is fair. I think husbands and wifes should take turns telling each other what to do. It drains me. Keeping 3 kids busy is no easy chore but then to add a husband to that, it just doesn't seem right. And of course I have to keep positive and encourage him, so he doesn't get too depressed. I went to a class once and the instructor talked about EGBOK. That stands for everything is going to be ok. That just keeps going through my mind over and over. I think, It has to be ok. This morning the little voice inside my head keeps telling me the "This too shall pass." I of course question it as to, When? I know everything will be ok. I am sorry this is so personal but sometimes I need to vent and I do it best in writing.

Life! Again?

It is that time of life for us. Just when thing were starting to happen. We were starting to dream bigger dreams, hope a little and plan a family vacation in the winter (That is a big deal for us.) Then the Lord decided that we were getting too comfortable. So, Jimmy's boss decided that he needed a vacation from work. He got layed off. Wouldn't ya know it. I told him that he could just start doing my job. Then I could do the things around the house that have been neglected um, let me see, FOREVER! Since his layoff 2 days ago, I haven't had time yet. Today it took all morning just to get the Exployer transfered over and licensed. And two hundred and fifty dollars later, we are good to go.

Dogless

Jimmy came home last night w/out dog. His buddy from work had decided that they were going to keep both of the dogs. We are a little disappointed. I was actually kind of excited at the thought of another little dog. Oh, well. I guess it is not the right time for us to get a dog.

Snow

Here are some pictures from our house of the snow in Dec. I am kinds wishing we would get more. (Maybe it would warm up a little bit.) It has been frosting, meaning it is soooo cold that there is lots of frost on everything outside. Then the wind starts to blow and the frost starts falling. Not snowing, frosting!

I love blogging.

I forgot how much fun this is. I put the girls to be early and have some more time to catch up. I received a call from my hubby today and he asked if we wanted another dog. Don't get me wrong we just gave "Buddy" away because he kept biting the kids. So, the dilema starts. Do we want another dog? Does it shed? What kind is it? How old is it? Well I don't know that much about dogs. I don't like getting attached because I don't like to loose them. But this dog is a Pomeranian sp? so it won't get that big, it doesn't she that much, it is only 6 weeks old and it is trained to "go" indoors (kitty litter??) I don't know how that last one works. I think it might work this time. It is young so it is trainable (cross my fingers) and it is potty trained (knock on wood), and it can get accustomed to my kids (did 3 Hail Mary's.)

Hunter, Hunter, Hunter

Tonight Hunter is headed home from his Seattle trip w/Nan and GG. I called to see where they where/what time they would be home they were just getting to Ellensburg. Hunter tells me that he has been gone so000 long that he forgot what I looked like. (He must have had a good time, I thought that kind of forgetfullness came w/drinking. He is a little bit young for that.) I told him that next time I would send a picture w/him so he wouldn't forget what I looked like.

Getting in Shape

Thursday night I went and played Jack and Jill Volleyball. I was the only "Jill" there. I forgot how much I LOVE VOLLEYBALL! I am pretty good too. The last game I played one of the guys tried to lob it over and I SLAMMED it. It was pretty awesome. I had this huge grin on my face. The downside is that my whole body hurts. I am almost (whisper word) 40 and I should go slowly. But once I got on the court I couldn't stop myself. One of my goals is to start working out more. I need to stay in shape after.

Homework

Wednesday I picked up Kirby from school. (That is dad's job usually.) The teacher told me they want us to work w/him on writing his letters correctly. When there is homework I usually have to be the motivation behind getting it done. As you have seen in previous pictures that Kirby is our Cryer. I am usually the motivation behind that too. I am always yelling, even if I am not yelling, it is yelling to him. So I started him writing and Hunter reading. I decided that 30 min. would be adequate to accomplish everything. 20 minutes later Kirby hadn't shed a tear. I couldn't believe it. I had to go downstairs and Kirby asked how much longer. I said 10 minutes. All of a sudden I could hear him sniffeling. I asked him what was wrong and he sobbed that that is what I said last time he asked me how much longer. So next time I think I will only make them do 20 minutes of homework (without crying.)

Road Trip

Forgive me, for I have sinned. It has been 10 days since my last blog. Alright it is time to get serious. I have been neglecting my blog. I will start w/ the most recent happenings. Hunter went to "Seattle" w/Nan and GG. It has been so nice, but he has only been gone 1 day. He loves his cousins and doesn't get to see them that often. They didn't have school Friday because of Teacher workday, and Monday is a holiday. Nan is so funny, she talks a lot about how she wants to spend time w/the Grandchildren but doing it is a diffent story. So this is a great opportunity for her to get to know Hunter.

Winter

This has been a crazy winter. I can't beleive all the snow we are getting, Still! School was cancelled today because we are in a "State of Emergency" and tomorrow we are running 2 hours late. I am excited because I get to sleep in 1 more day. Hunter is loving the snow. Our neighbor Cole will come over and knock every morning for Hunter to come and play in the snow w/him. I stay out of it as much as possible.
