TLC
Today was my birthday. It started w/Breakfast in bed (good), then onto lice (not so good), finally a little tlc for my baby (good!) Breakfast was a nice simple toast and eggs. I was getting my girls ready for gymnastics and while I was putting my 2yr olds hair up I noticed a black thing in it. I took it out and it was moving.... . most of you know the rest. All that is involved w/getting rid of lice. Sister did not have it, surprisingly good. What I really wanted to share tonight is my love for my Sissy. She was put to bed at 9 and I heard her in there talking, laughing, and singing. Finally she came out and started eating the Zucchini bread we had just taken out of the oven and dad just handed her his bowl of ice cream. She stayed up until Hunter arrived home from his, very long day at Silverwood. I went down to change the laundry and she followed me. There were no sheets on the bed because she had gotten into bed with us the am and because of the whole lice thing ..... She helped me make the bed. It was time for bed again, so I told her to get into bed, then dad told her to get into bed. She was upset and started crying saying she wanted to sleep in my bed. She snuck back downstairs and I carried her upstairs and put her in bed. I realized, even though it was my birthday that she needed some TLC. She doesn't or hasn't gotten as much as the other kids. We used to snuggle all the time with them and with her being the youngest she hasn't gotten hardly any. As soon as I layed down w/her she started giggling. She was so happy that I was with her she told me that I needed to stay with her all night. She then started talking and telling me that she didn't want the fox? (I guess) to come and scratch her eyes out. Midnight, our kitty, usually sleeps on her bed. I told her that Midnight would protect her if any fox came to scratch her eyes out. She layed there for a while longer and put her arm around me neck. Finally I asked if we should say a prayer and she said yes. I prayed. I included in the prayer for her safety. After the prayer she asked about Rachel, and Renee and Rachel (Suzanna), her friends from daycare. I didn't pray for them and she wanted me to pray for them. So I said a quick one for them and she turned over and fell asleep. I am so glad I took the time to listen to the prompting tonigh that Sophia needed a little extra TLC. It is such a comfort knowing that I am entitled to that spiritual blessing. I think I needed it as much as she did.
