The kids just love  our cats.

Face Paint

Oh yes, how could I forget.  Me and the girls went on a hunt for face paint..... and found some....

The Brothers

Charlie and Benton, Jimmy's brother's, came into town.  Chuck's Girlfriend Sola was also with them.  They have spent most of the time in Idaho fishing, and golfing.  They will be back tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday for a movie night, cherry picking in Greenbluff.  A few pictures of them Going over the Falls.  They also found the big wagon slide.  (for big kids too.)

Spokane Falls

This week has been very interesting.  We started out going to the falls in Spokane.  It was beautiful in downtown Spokane.  Here are some sites and the Gondola ride over the Falls.

Bountiful Baskets

So, my friend introduced me to this website and I thought I would give it a try. It is a Co-op. I went online and signed up for 1 basket $15 this week. My hubby also loves nectarines and they had a 20lb box for like $15. (Something like that, I'm not sure about the prices.) I received an e-mail reminding me that I needed to order by Wed. So I placed my order, then I found out I had to be there between 7 and 7:15 am this morning. So I didn't sleep very well in anticipation of this new basket I was getting.
It is all fruits and veggies. I went and picked it up and was pleasently surprised at all the wonderful things that were in there. Well, check it out.

Monday grrr.

This is how my Monday started.  Well, this is an e-mail to my Boss explaining what I had done today.

Dear Boss,
First I have to apologize.  "Our Client" is going to raise some stink because I was 30 minutes late delivering her meds this morning. I rang the doorbell, Her helper answered the door and let me in.
I apologized to Client. She then started speaking to me in a very condescending manner. I listened for a moment and then interrupted her, I explained that I knew that she was going to be on the phone as soon as I left. She was going to call, whomever would listen to her. She wasn't very happy with this, then she explained to me that I worked for her. I stated that I did not work for her, that I worked for my boss and I would received instruction from her as to what I will do. She kept inturrupting me and not listening to me. She told me that I better not walk in her house.  He helper explained that she answered the door after I wrang the doorbell. She still wasn't listening. She kept going on... and she was upset about missing meds in her bubble pack she gets every week. I had talked to the Chris, at the Pharmacy, and he advised that all Phyc meds are double counted. She did have one bubble packed med, the problem being it doesn't have any date on it.
(Preface- she has a safe so we can supply them to her daily.  Her help gives them to her weekly.  Her safe is kept in her laundry room.)  I closed the door to the laundry room, the washer/dryer was going so I couldn't hear what was being said but they had raised voices in the other room. Then her help came in and said she had next Monday off, so she would like the meds there by Friday. I did not have a problem w/that. I told her that would be fine. On my way out, the Client checked me out to make sure I didn't take anything with me. I only had my phone in hand so she could clearly see that I didn't. She continued yelling at me, as I explained about there being no dates on the med. Then she went at me again w/the "you better not come in my house with out knocking..." As I was walking out the door, I leaned down and wrang the doorbell and expained that that is what I had done when I entered the house. The dog barked once, then she started going at me again, this time about how I got the dogs started barking ,then she slammed the door.
She then called and left a message. It was about how if I wanted to act like a 4 year old, she was going to treat me like a 4 year old, then she started swearing, cussing and yelling at me, and how I am not suppose to set foot on her property again.

My favorite part about today?

The thing that I loved about today?  Spending alone time w/Hunter.  We had such a fun ride home.  Hunter is such an amazing kid.  He is growing up way to fast.  He had me spike his hair today.  Then he talked to me a lot on out way home from Canada.  He told me what an amazing family I have.  He said my cousin Ben is awesome.  He is growing into a fine young man.  I love him to death when he leans on me and talks to me and spends time with me.  He is such a softed hearted, sweet boy, most of the time.  And I want to remember to tell him that ALL the time.

Dissapointed

I must say, I am disappointed that, for how many people (us included), have been working on the Cabin, it isn't completed yet.  Even though there are many things that we don't like about the cabin, the one thing I don't like most is that it isn't done yet.  Bathroom, Kitchen, I think we finished the living room yesterday, and bedroom not completed.  Did I mention that the cabin ISN'T COMPLETED YET?

The task, back tent platform. Accomplished.

The Trip

The trip to Canada was, for the most part, uneventful.  But when has anything in my life been uneventful.  I invited my friend, neighbor and co-worker Alana to come up to Canada with me.  So, after work we had her husband bring their son, Cole, to our work.  He dropped him off and said the Freeway was a nightmare.  (Hoop fest weekend.)  So we got on the road and All of a sudden it popped into my head that I had forgot to put my  passport into the vehicle.  We ended up turning around, and going back to the house to get the passport.
I guess I should preface it by letting you all know that I have never driven the back way, through Grand Coulee, to Canada before.  As we were driving, w/passports in hand, chit chatting away, I missed the turnoff from highway 2 @ Wilbur and went all the way to the end of the Road.  Then we went up through a different town and up to Grand Coulee.  Oh, I have to say the Dam was so beautiful tonight, coming home, They had all the gates open and the water was flowing pretty good.  I left my camera up Canada w/Nan so I wasn't able to take any pics of it .  But it was pretty awesome.  We made it there Friday night just in time for dinner (8:00) and then visited.  We couldn't get the kids to settle down till after 11 pm then Hunter was up @ 6am.  Alana had to get up w/the boys, they were fishing for a while, then again later.  Well, on and off all day long, Cole finally caught a Trout, and that was about the end of the fishing.  We were suppose to eat it for dinner, then breakfast, then I noticed it still in the water when I left.  (poor fishee).
One of the many things that I didn't do on my week without the kids was to buy a fan for the cabin.  The one that was purchased didn't drop down so the blades ended up hitting the ceiling.  On the box of the fan that I purchased, said it was a "10-minute" fan.  2 hours later we were still trying to figure out what screw goes where.
Then Nan got Hunter and Cole to "start"/ finish tearing up the back tent platform.  I guess when Scott and Amy family went up there a while ago, she had Zach and Alyssa start tearing it down.  Except they started in the middle??? Whatever.  After Hunter and Cole had been shown, by Jimmy, how to tear it apart with a crowbar.  They finished it in no time.  Even though it was freezing, we went for a dip in the ice, I mean Lake.  Brrrr.   I got out and then got in again. then got out for good.  Alana stayed in after the second time and she payed for it later.  She had a hard time getting warm.  This was around 7 pm, of course. We ate dinner and then Hunter, Nan and Jimmy went  back out and took all the wood up to the trailer for dumping tomorrow.  But, they finished it.  and Hunter got paid a lot of money for helping w/tearing down things.  I think it was very good for him and he didn't hardly complain.  Earlier in the week he was able to tear down the back of the building where the freezer and extra fridge was at.  I heard he even had fun doing that.  (But I won't say that too loud.)
Before they started, Nan made me go out and take pictures so they could have a before and after.  While the "during part" was going on I went out and took pictures.  I felt something on the heel of my flip flop and tried shaking it off.   Then I noticed it was a nail, it went all the way in....
my 2" flip flop and I had to have Jimmy pull it out cause it was stuck.  Thank goodness for really thick flip flops.  Later as Jimmy was tying  off the load, his rope broke and he took a tumble backward.  He had the brick retaining wall to catch him on one side and the cement mixer on the other.  He wanted to be really safe so he decided to use both of them.  His right elbow looks like raw meat and his left, lower bicep looks really pretty.  Like he wanted to see how many colors he could get on two arms.
He said that he felt like it took him 10 minutes to fall cause he just kept falling and couldn't catch himself on anything.  Well, he caught himself alright.  On EVERYTHING that he possible could.  His flip flop came off as he was trying to catch himself and after I rushed over to him, the thing he complained about most was his foot hurting..  crazy, I know.

Slacker!

Yes, yes, I know that I have been a major slacker.  I have been trying to find time to do anything lately.  So, her I am trying to play catch up.
I had a whole week by myself and what did I accomplish.  A whole lot of nothing.  The Dad and kids left last Sunday.  After I came home from work I went and helped my mom.  I thought she was on her way to Canada when I received a call from her letting me know that she wasn't.  OK so, I was "helping" her by cleaning her house.  I kinda knew I was in trouble when she told me she was getting up early to bring up the patio furniture from underneath her house.  So anyway, I will try to keep the sarcasm out of it as much as I can when telling the story.  I had to vacuum the house, unload the dishwasher , you know, the usual things you do when you are getting ready to go on a trip.  Whoops, sorry, there goes the sarcasm.
So, make a long story short, I ended up leaving her house @ 10:30 pm and everything still wasn't checked off her list.
Back to the part of the story that Jimmy left on Sunday, yeah, well Nan was suppose to be up there on Monday to babysit the kids while he working to complete the cabin.  So when Nan hadn't left by Monday night and I was hearing it from Jimmy.  How he wasn't getting any work done because all the kids needed him.  Sophia couldn't use the outhouse without him.. and she was peeing like 3 times and hour.  So Tuesday afternoon he calls me and lets me know that he just ran into Carpenter ants in the back bedroom.  Luckily my mom had just called and let me know she was In Kelowna.  So, I had him call her and tell her what was going on.  Oh, did I mention that she was suppose to be feeding them too.  Well, by 7:00 they we all getting pretty hungry.  Funny thing is we ate about that same time both nights I was there.

The New Deck @ the Cabin in Canada

Jayden's sexy pose

While we were looking at the pictures from the cabin we ended up looking at Christmas pictures.  Jayden Casually explained that this was her "Sexy Pose."

The first loose tooth

Today, driving home from church, Hunter was eating an apple.  He said a lady from primary gave it to him.  "What is her name?"  "I don't know."  Then as we were getting into the van, a lady from the ward, Sister Williams, was walking out to her car and Hunter said, that it looks like her.  "It looks like her twin." talking about the lady who gave him the apple.  He asked dad to roll down his window.  He wanted to the apple out at another car.  I said there was a lot of apple left and Jayden would eat it.  So he handed what was left of the apple to Jayden.  She took a couple of bites and then shouted in our ears.  I BIT INTO MY APPLE AND IT MADE ME HAVE A LOOSE TOOTH!!  She was so happy that her tooth was loose, she couldn't beleive it.  On the way up the back stairs she asked me to help her because her loose tooth hurt.  then she couldn't do hardly anything because her tooth hurt.  It was so cute.  She started eating one of the snacks I had purchased for the trip, and she couldn't bit it because her tooth hurt.  I just told her to break it up and chew on it with her back teeth.  She did and acted like she was the most special girl in the world because she could eat Funyuns.  We looked at pictures of the "new and improved" cabin that I had taken over the weekend.  Then she starts asking me to pull her tooth out.  Now she is eating apples, in hopes that it will come out.
